A no-kill shelter with a unique social environment. Oregon Dog Rescue saves dogs not only in Oregon, but around the country! Oregon Dog Rescue is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, located in Tualatin, Oregon. The organization was started in 2007 by two women dedicated to helping animals in need as a foster-based rescue. They have grown over the years and their brick and mortar facility can accommodate up to 65 dogs at a time. Their dogs come from overcrowded shelters near and far. Local owners who can no longer keep their dogs due to various hardships and from high-kill shelters all over the West Coast. They accept dogs from Washington, Oregon, California, Hawaii, Texas, New Mexico as well as Mexico.

Partnering with communities overwhelmed by their homeless dog population, they help work to ultimately lower the euthanasia rate in those counties. They also serve as a collection site for donations that they then disperse to the immediate community as well as their partner shelters along the West coast.

While at Oregon Dog Rescue, the pups spend their days in playrooms, where they can socialize with each other and interact with staff and volunteers.

Dogs are spayed or neutered as soon as they arrive, brought up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped as well as receive any vet recommended treatments they require. Staff members evaluate their residents to see what type of family would be best for each one. They are devoted to placing their dogs with the most appropriate matches for them- assuring the long-term success of every adoption.
